According to a recent article posted by the Expert Institute, there is a new technique of introducing expert witness evidence whereby experts discuss their arguments under oath with a judge in an attempt to reach an agreement. This technique is referred to as "concurrent evidence", or, "hot-tubbing". Ultimately, this approach to expert testimony is less formalized and adversarial than our current process.
